How to: Install Lawnchair V2 Alpha – Lovely Apps
Welcome back to Lovely Apps section on Zheano Blog. This is the first time that I’m doing some kind of How to tutorial here on Zheano Blog. Since so many people were interested in the second version of Lawnchair, I decided to make this short tutorial on how to get Lawnchair V2 Alpha. Few people Tweet at me asking for this tutorial and I’m sure this is going to help you get the latest version of Lawnchair V2 on your Android smartphone.
I’ve been using V2 of Lawnchair for quite a while, and even though it’s still in early alpha, it’s stable enough for me to use it on my daily driver. I need to say that some bugs and issues are quite annoying. Some of you might experience more or fewer problems depends on what kind of phone are you using so keep that in mind. There’s always Lawnchair V1 with all the best features and with almost no bugs. You can download Lawnchair V1 from the Google Play Store.
I’m going to write a review of Lawnchair V2 once it’s out of alpha. For now here’s a screenshot of my home screen. I decided to write this quick How to because so many people asked how to get this version of Lawnchair on their phone.

Since V2 is not available on the Google Play Store, you need to sideload the apk file. You can get the apk file of the app from their official Telegram Channel here. If you don’t use Telegram, you can download the apk from here. This apk is also available on APKMirror with updates, click here to get it. I need to mention that I will not update this file, so if you want to get updates you will need to follow that Telegram Channel.
Once you have the apk file, you need to install it on to your Android device. If you never done this there’s going to pop up a window: For your security reasons, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source.” Make sure to click the SETTINGS button and select the app that you are installing this from. If you have done this before you have probably already enabled this and this message won’t pop up.
After that click install and wait. It might take a few moments, and once the app is installed, you can press OPEN or home button to see the changes. You might need to select the default launcher, and you’re done. You will be greeted with the Lawnchair V2 in all of its glory. Now, don’t forget that this app is still in alpha and that many things might change in the final production.
I hope that this tutorial is useful. If you have any issues with the installation process make sure to comment below and I would love to help. I’m going to be back at reviewing apps next week. If you enjoy this kind of tutorials make sure to let me know.
